Winter 2026 product release
Winter kept us very busy, and we wanted to share a roll-up of what we’ve been up to. Everything we do is meant to help you and your teams safely adopt AI and get more value out of those investments. Things are moving really fast in AI and we know it’s a lot to keep up to date on.
Expanded MCP library
There are now thousands of MCPs in the wild, but here’s a pattern: official MCPs from major tech platforms, and the stock MCPs bundled into AI chat tools, are often underwhelming in their breadth of functionality, likely due to concerns about inadvertent data damage by uncontrolled LLM’s. As Barndoor adds the control and safety layer, we go all in on feature completeness so we’ve continued building more of our own. Barndoor also continues to add pre-configured official MCP’s when they are well rounded, to make it easier for you to adopt.

Platform API for MCP, agent, and policy management
The new Barndoor platform API lets MCP, agent and policy configuration data travel with your code, so as you scale MCP and agent deployments, rollouts stay consistent.
Self-serve identity platform management
Your admins can now configure and maintain your IdP integrations independently so there is no need to come to us for every change. Learn how to set up your own IdP here
ToolIQ context layer
Barndoor launched ToolIQ, our intelligent tool router that makes MCP interactions faster and with better results. It also reduces token spend upwards of 90% saving you money. Customers are impressed by the outcomes they’re seeing from cross-system prompts, especially in Claude and ChatGPT.
Refreshed MCP registry and configuration pages
Finding available MCPs or setting up your own just got a lot easier. The Barndoor MCP registry and configuration pages have been updated to reduce friction and improve discoverability. Many Barndoor MCPs have public OAuth apps registered to make it easy for you to adopt. You can now also override those and control your own app definitions.
Introducing Venn.ai!
Some teams are still early in their AI adoption, but that doesn’t mean knowledge workers should wait. Venn.ai is a single user tool that gives knowledge workers direct access to their most relevant workplace apps from within the AI tools they’re already using. Venn allows access to a comprehensive list of Barndoor MCP’s directly from within their favorite AI such as Claude, ChatGPT, VS Code, OpenClaw, and Cursor.
